The client was facing the challenge to improve their target efficiency and cost to serve position . They had recently fared poorly in the OFWAT scoring mechanism and had to make significant improvements in time for the next AMP founding round.
We carried out a rapid upfront diagnostic to identify locations with the most improvement opportunity. We initiated two pilot areas and Developed an internal capability at LCS Green and Black belt level. We also worked with te Leadership team to implement an Enterprise Management System which included structured management routines, Improvement roadmaps and structured Issue Resolution.
Over a two year period : Capex savings of £15m, OPex savings £1.5m. Complaints down!, Maintenance effectiveness up!
